I recently closed on my first home in Lake Ridge, VA. In a time when economies are shaky and being around other people is a questionable choice, this was no small feat. Tricia Filbert heard every single concern we had and packaged it up neatly in all aspects of our experience. We had very specific needs: our home needed to be large enough to accommodate a family of 6, it needed to be wheelchair accessible (or at least reasonably close) with an office or a bedroom on the first floor, it needed to be within a specific magisterial district, and it needed to be eligible for a VA loan. Not only was Tricia able to repeatedly fond homes that met our criteria, she introduced us to solid individuals of character to assist us along the way by giving us options for lenders and home inspectors that have consistently demonstrated integrity and fairness in their business practices as well. At the end of it all, we found the perfect home for our family and we were solidly prepared to close thanks to her team’s strong support and advice along the way. My clearest takeaway was Tricia’s willingness to admit when she wasn’t the expert on a topic. She had not personally taken care of many veterans in their home purchases, and so she made it a point to ensure her information was accurate and relevant by including her team for confirmation. We were treated fairly and were well represented when we made our offer on the home we chose thanks to her expertise and dedication to understanding the nuances of our situation.
